Ripped from the headlines is “How much money can an AI Consultant Make?” I think that is the wrong question. Sure, there are those flashy headlines promising millions of dollars in pipelines, but let’s get real: most companies dabbling in AI aren’t raking in the cash yet. We’re looking at the early stages of a tech revolution, and there’s a bubble forming that could burst sooner than you think.
The real conversation should be about where the opportunities are—beyond the hype. Many businesses are realizing that laying off their brightest minds and expecting AI to just "handle it all" is pure fantasy. Spoiler alert: it won’t. If your company doesn’t have an AI policy yet, now’s the time to get one in place.
So, the more pressing question? “How much more efficient and effective can your company become using AI?”
Let’s face it, AI can seem intimidating, especially for companies that aren’t in tech. It’s not just about slapping a machine learning model on your business and calling it a day. That’s where the real value of an AI consultancy, like mine, RealmIQ, comes into play. We specialize in helping organizations—big or small—figure out how AI can fit seamlessly into their current setup. Whether it's automating your processes, fine-tuning customer journeys, or creating custom GPT models that make your day-to-day more efficient, they tailor AI to your unique business needs.
What makes companies like RealmIQ indispensable is the hands-on expertise. They work across industries, helping businesses identify where AI can make the biggest difference—whether it’s cutting costs, streamlining operations, or uncovering new revenue streams. And for teams that may not be tech-savvy, RealmIQ demystifies AI, offering guidance and education that takes the fear out of the unknown.
In today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape, businesses that get on board with AI sooner rather than later will gain a significant edge. And this isn’t about AI being the next big buzzword; it’s about smart, strategic integration. Partnering with the right consultant, like RealmIQ, means your business can harness AI’s full potential in a way that’s both scalable and sustainable.
Now, here’s the deal—my own career in branding and marketing has spanned three decades, from guiding billion-dollar businesses to consulting with clients to refine operations, build strategies, and yes, embrace new technologies. But the core principles of what I do haven’t changed. It’s about understanding the business, doing the groundwork, and finding solutions that deliver results. The only difference now? AI is a powerful tool in that toolkit.
So, if you’ve got a consultant fresh out of school promising to revolutionize your business with AI, I’d say, tread carefully. Look for someone with the life experience, business acumen, and proven results to help you navigate this AI-driven world with confidence.

The piece concludes by suggesting that AI's best use may be in a complementary role rather than as a human replacement.
OpenAI’s new board is hitting pause
OpenAI has transformed its Safety and Security Committee into an independent "Board Oversight Committee" with the authority to delay model launches if safety concerns arise. This shift follows a 90-day review of the company's safety processes. Led by Zico Kolter and including Adam D'Angelo, Paul Nakasone, and Nicole Seligman, the committee will regularly receive updates from company leaders about safety checks on major model releases and can pause launches until concerns are resolved. Though the board is labeled independent, all members also sit on OpenAI's main board, raising questions about its true independence. Key points include:
The board can delay model launches due to safety concerns.
The full board will get regular safety and security updates.
OpenAI is seeking more collaboration within the industry and increased transparency in safety efforts.
CEO Sam Altman is no longer part of this safety committee.
